Where will yoga take you…?

Kat Fowler – April 18-25, 2015

Kat Fowler Yoga Retreats The Travel Yogi Kat specifically chose Aruba as her retreat location for it’s warm and friendly charm, the stunning beaches, and because it’s her second home; she has stayed in Aruba annually for the last twenty years to spend time with her local family there.

The Manchebo Beach Resort is located on the shores of radiant Eagle Beach, an ideal place for a rejuvenating getaway. The exotic Caribbean-Balinese style resort’s on-site spa offers a variety of massages and treatments to enrich your experience. The island offers a variety of gourmet cuisines, night life and tropical adventures.  We will hit the SUP for a yoga class plus a sunset/snorkel sail along the gorgeous coastline of this “One Happy Island”.

Kat is beyond thrilled to share this beautiful Caribbean island with you by hosting a one of a kind yoga retreat to paradise in her home away from home, ARUBA!

What airport do I fly into?
You will be booking your flight in and out of Aruba International Airport (AUA).  Round trip transfers are included in the price of the trip on arrival and departure days only.

Do I need a passport/visa?
US citizens will need a valid passport to visit Aruba, but no visa is required at this time. Passports will need to be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.  Aruba reserves the right to refuse entry if passports expire before the 6 month mark.

Nationals of all other countries should check travel requirements well in advance of their retreat.

What is the electrical currency/outlet in Aruba?
Aruba utilizes the same plug and voltage as the United States and Canada.  If you are coming from another part of the world, a plug adapter and/or converter may be necessary.

Is there internet access on property?
While we hope you’ll try and unplug…  but yes, there is wi-fi on property.

Do I need to bring my own mat, blocks, straps, etc?
You are welcome to bring your own mat and accessories but Manchebo has a stocked yoga facility so it’s not required.

Are there bugs?
Happy is the yogi that can practice outdoors anywhere without a few bugs.  Aruba’s daily breeze generally blows away pesky mosquitoes and no-see-ums, but a bug spray in your luggage won’t go amiss.

Do I need to book any of the optional activities ahead of time?
All of the activities can be booked when you arrive in Aruba; however, if there is something that you know you HAVE to try, it is always best to book early.

What do I need to bring?
Think ‘amazing beach holiday’ with yoga clothes thrown in.  Aruba is a very eclectic town with the downtown area not far from our boutique hotel, so come prepared.  Your yoga mat and any accessories you use in your practice will also need to come with you.

Do I need to rent a car?
A car will be
making trips to the airport (on arrival and departure days only).  However, if you want to take a longer independent day trip or plan to travel pre/post retreat, a rental car is a good option.

What is the weather like?
Aruba is blessed with steady and out-of-the-hurricane-belt weather year round.  Days will most likely be in the mid to high 80s with evenings in the mid to low 70s.  All rooms are air conditioned for your comfort and mother nature offers her own air conditioning with wind picking up generally in the afternoons.
