Portugal Yoga Bike Tour

Pedal your way into Portuguese culture on two wheels as you cross the country from bustling capital to sleepy villages…  The Travel Yogi is bringing you the best Portugal yoga retreat from the seat of your two-wheeler.  It’s time to slow down to explore the countryside, cruise through cork forests and dig a little deeper than the tourist route.

We’re taking you from the heart of humming Lisbon to the absolute quiet of the Alentejo’s towns and villages.  While always supported with a vehicle option, our Portugal bike and yoga retreat adventure is designed to give you time to marvel at the vineyards and the vistas, to wander the cobblestones of Évora and the time to slow down and breathe.  Take in the timelessness of Portugal from your mat and your bike as you leave no Alentejo stone unturned.

FAQs

US citizens need only a passport for travel to Portugal. Please note that ALL passports must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of arrival and 6 months validity is recommended. You will also need at least 2 blank pages for entry. Those carrying passports with less than 3 months of validity may not be allowed entry.

If your passport has been issued by any other country you will need to check with your government as to your entry requirements.

You will need to schedule your flight into Lisbon Portela (LIS) airport.  You can schedule your flight in anytime on the first day of the adventure and after breakfast on the last day.  There will be two transfers to the airport on arrival and departure so the ideal arrival, and departure time, is after 12pm.

On this adventure please do bring your yoga mat.  Your mat, and luggage, will be schlepped for you once you arrive.

With at least 6 weeks notice, our local chefs and amazing restaurants will do their best to develop delicious options for any requests or restrictions.  Please note that some of the rural spots may be more limited in their options, but no one will be allowed to go to bed hungry!

No, not at all.  Of course, you do need to know how to ride a bike (ha).  While we want each of you to enjoy biking among the vineyards and olive groves, you can always choose to sit out a few miles, or the whole day, in the comfortable AC-equipped support vehicle.

Most of the rides will be on roads with some smooth dirt roads as well.  The biking level for this trip is “easy” so the gradations will be small and you can look forward to days of smooth cruising.
