A Minnesota raised yogini living in the concrete jungle of Chicago, Brooke has been a student and teacher of yoga for over a decade. She holds a 500 hour, ERYT, certification in Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga. Trained originally in her homeland of MN, she has traveled around the world to learn more. Through her numerous trainings Brooke has learned the importance of living and teaching with an open heart. She continues to see the importance of growth and self exploration on a daily basis.
It was in Spain where Brooke was first introduced to Ujiyii Breathing. Trying to stay warm with a friend, she was taught the power of breath control. The simplicity of breathing in and out of your nose intrigued her. She dabbled into classes here and there after that during college but it wasn’t until her first class at a Corepower Yoga that she really felt the connection of body and mind. Ever since that magical sweat, she was hooked and couldn’t get enough.
Brooke is a lover of music, travel, good company, dancing and cooking. She holds a regular practice and is always reminding herself that simply showing up and being open to the possibilities is all she has to do. She encourages her students to feel the same way. Yoga is a way of life for Brooke. It has made her a happier, more peaceful human being.
