Maile discovered yoga in 1996 and immediately she could feel there was something special, something indefinable to it. Richard Freeman, whom she met while living in Colorado in 1998, is her primary teacher.
Maile teaches slow-to-moderate paced, grounded Hatha Yoga. Her classes are a nurturing synthesis of flowing postures, breath awareness and yogic philosophy. She teaches to all ages and all bodies and welcomes those practicing with physical limitations into her classes.
She owns, and teaches at, The Mindful Body Wellness Studio in San Francisco.
In addition to practicing yoga, Maile loves adventure travel, hiking, dogs, surfing (warm water preferred!), eating vegetables from her garden, swimming and mangoes. She is the mom to a curious four year old and practices her mindfulness skills (not always successfully) on the minute-to-minute parenting journey.
