Emma Pigeon

Emma (RYT-500) is a Phoenix, Arizona based yoga teacher with a passion for movement, healthy living and travel. She has devoted countless hours to self-study, personal practice, teaching and extended training. She completed her 200 hour training as a 22 year old university student and found so much joy sharing the life changing practice of yoga with others. As a devoted practitioner, and avid traveler, she journeyed to northern India to complete an additional 300 hours of training with a focus on traditional philosophy, Ashtanga and Hatha yoga. She believes in always being a student and staying thirsty for knowledge, which she then passes along to her students in a creative and thoughtful manner.

Her teaching style is lighthearted and fun with a focus on alignment and creative transitions. She is a firm believer that yoga (and life) is all about balance - it requires discipline and devotion but also room for rest, relaxation and fun. She never wants her students to take themselves too seriously and always encourages them to try something new and get out of their comfort zone. If nothing changes, then nothing changes, right?

During a retreat, you can expect Emma to lead with confidence, on and off the mat, as she not only has experience teaching studio classes, private/group classes, workshops, teacher trainings and retreats, but she has extensive travel experience as well. She will ensure your daily practices elevate your retreat experience, with thoughtful sequencing and hands-on adjustments. She’s always down for an adventure, so expect active engagement and participation in all excursions, whether thats surfing or cooking lessons.

You will leave your retreat with Emma feeling inspired, refreshed and ready to incorporate new knowledge into your own practice. You will feel encouraged to try new things, on and off your mat, and to have some fun with whatever it is you’re doing!
