Rob Beilfus

Rob started yoga when he could hardly walk due to injuries suffered playing rugby. Traditional medicine and therapy had little effect, but when Rob transitioned to a full-time yoga practice, he was functioning normally again within in a year. Today, he lives with very little discomfort.

As a yogi who has struggled with injuries, Rob designs his class to allow safety, comfort and challenge. His emphasis on safety creates a comfortable atmosphere, one where students grow their practice without fear of injury. Rob’s focus on breath and proper alignment helps students build strength and flexibility. His passion for yoga combined with his practice of helping his students chart their own course makes him popular with students of all levels.

Rob does not believe that yoga is just about looking beautiful in a pose; he believes that yoga is about embracing the feelings and sensations that accompany each pose, working through the challenges of the poses to find peace, in the poses, that can translate to peace in everyday life. His students leave class feeling empowered and inspired, knowing that they can always rely on him to create a challenging yet safe environment to grow in.

With his experience combined with his psychology background which includes a MA from The New School for Social Research, Rob is uniquely suited to help people integrate yoga into their lives. Rob is a graduate of Faith Hunter’s embrace your flow™ YTT.
