LIZ ARCH September 21-26, 2013
There's a saying in Hawaiian: "O ke aloha ke kuleana o kahi malihini" (love is the host in strange lands). It is in the true spirit of Aloha that I welcome you to join me on this special journey to recharge your body, mind and soul.
Take your practice to new heights with lighthearted and playful yoga sessions that will be a combination of both vinyasa and workshop-style classes. Breathe in the natural beauty of Maui, create new friendships, deepen your yoga practice and discover why this place is called paradise.
Liz Arch is the creator of Primal Yoga®, a dynamic yoga/martial arts fusion class that merges Vinyasa yoga with the playfulness of Capoeira, the artistry of Kung Fu and the grace of Tai Chi into a creative and mindful flow. She has over 10 years of experience in various yoga and martial arts styles including Vinyasa Yoga, traditional Northern-style Kung Fu and Yang-style Tai-Chi.
Liz is a yoga ambassador for RYU and YogaEarth and a proud advocate for A Window Between Worlds, a non-profit in Venice, CA that uses art as a healing tool for women and children who are survivors of domestic violence. Visit her on Facebook or Twitter
FAQ
What do I need to bring?
Just the essentials! A bathing suit, sunblock, yoga clothes and your mat if you prefer to practice on your own mat. Lumeria has a fully stocked yoga room so no need to bring a mat or props.
What airport do I fly into?
Please be sure to schedule your flight arriving on September 21st into Maui (OGG) no later than 4pm.
Your departure can be scheduled any time on September 26th from OGG.
Do I need to rent a car?
Taxis and shuttles are easy to catch from the airport or from Lumeria, however, they can get expensive. In order to soak up all of the culture and lushness of Maui, a rental car is recommended.
Do I need to book any of the optional activities ahead of time?
All of the activities can be booked when you arrive in Maui; however, if there is something that you know you HAVE to try, it is always best to book early.
What is the weather like that time of year?
The average September day is sunny and in the mid 80s. This is very much a summer month in the tropics so expect summer heat and possible mugginess. The evenings will be approximately in the low 70s. Bring a light layer and plenty of sunscreen!
