Kenya’s magic isn’t just in its sweeping landscapes or the unforgettable wildlife — it’s found in the people, the culture, and the powerful connections that unfold during your time there. While the beauty of the land is captivating, the true essence of the journey lies in the impact we can make together, giving back to the communities that make our yoga adventures possible.
That’s why we’re proud to support The Samburu Project.
When you join our Kenya Yoga Adventure in February 2026, you’re doing more than exploring a stunning corner of the world. You’re helping bring clean, life-changing water to the Samburu people of northern Kenya.
The Samburu Project: Water is Just the Beginning
The Samburu Project is a nonprofit on a mission to drill wells and provide reliable access to safe, clean water for Samburu communities. In an area where fetching water can mean a multiple hours-long trek — often dangerous and often falling on the shoulders of women and girls — these wells are game-changers.
To date, The Samburu Project has built over 150 wells, improving the lives of more than 100,000 people. But there are still families walking miles for every drop. Every new well eases that burden, boosts health, keeps kids in school, and strengthens the entire community.
Linda Hooper, the executive director of the Samburu Project, shared with us that her team is always thrilled to connect with like-minded people who harness the power of travel to make human connections. It’s simple work with a profound impact — water is life!
How One Yoga Trip Sparked a Ripple Effect
When Jenn Prugh led our Kenya Yoga Adventure in 2023, her connection with the Samburu people was instant — and lasting. Once home, Jenn asked us a simple but powerful question: “What if we helped build a well?”
We jumped at the chance. To fund the project, Jenn led another yoga adventure to Sri Lanka, donating every penny of the profits to The Samburu Project. Her 2023 Kenya group also rallied, raising funds and spreading awareness within their communities.
The collective effort worked. Together, we funded a well that now provides clean water to an entire Samburu village. It’s a shining example of what happens when travel and purpose intersect.
Kenya 2026: A Journey Back to the Well
Now, in 2026, Jenn is heading back to Kenya — and this time, the trip includes a meaningful stop: visiting the well that this incredible yoga community helped bring to life.
Of course, this adventure isn’t just about the well. You’ll experience everything that makes Kenya magical: sunrise yoga sessions in the wild, breathtaking landscapes, game drives through the Maasai Mara conservancy, and hands-on time with the baby elephants at the Sheldrick Orphanage.
But seeing firsthand the ripple effect of mindful travel? That’s a moment you’ll carry forever.
Why Giving Back Matters on This Adventure
Travel has the power to uplift — not just the traveler, but the communities we visit. Supporting The Samburu Project is about partnership, respect, and leaving a positive footprint behind.
This isn’t charity from afar. It’s about connection, collaboration, and ensuring that our adventures have a lasting, meaningful impact.
